Compassionate / Emergency Fund:
We now have a Fund to which individuals and organizations can contribute. This fund is designed to help patients be flown to the nearest medical facility where they can receive the proper medical care that they need. It is also available for subsidizing special flight needs. We are thankful for those who have donated to this fund to make it possible. Guest House work:
We have seen a significant increase in the usage of the "Flight House" in Lusaka over the past few years. The need for this accommodation facility has become more and more apparent, as other reasonably-priced facilities for missionaries to use are less available. Although we are renting the house, we have been able to negotiate with the co-operation of the landlady to carry out a number of improvements to the facility. These included additions to the house, such as an additional bedroom and bathroom, and an 'en suite' bathroom to the "Family bedroom".
Due to the lack of water provided by the city, we have had to put a 5000 liter overhead tank up to store more water. And as this was not sufficient, we also had to put in a bore hole. The bore hole recently drilled has been a great success, with lots of fresh clean water.
We also have improved the service available for those staying at the guest house by adding wireless internet, and Satellite TV for the living room and master bedroom.
We continue to pay rent each month for the use of this house. We look to the Lord for His provision of a facility that could be purchased, rather than paying rent each month.
