One hundred years ago, the first missionaries trekked for 3 months across Angola, until they reached a place known as Kalene Hill.  Some had even died along the way.  It was there, in the middle of nowhere, which must have seemed like the “end of the Earth”, that those missionaries established Kalene Mission.  Today, Kalene is still very much in “the bush”.  However, instead of taking 3 months to get there, it now takes less than 3 hours to arrive from Lusaka in the small Cessna.
